Pamela Mulumby

Founder & Co-Owner, LifePath of Mid-Missouri, LLC

Pamela Mulumby is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the human services sector, specializing in the support of individuals with severe behavioral challenges and medical fragility. She is the Founder and Co-owner of LifePath of Mid-Missouri, LLC, where she currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She also previously served as CEO of Mid-Missouri Supported Living, LLC (MMSL) from November 2022 to August 2025.
Pamela founded LifePath in June 2022. The Missouri Department of Mental Health awarded the agency its provisional contract on August 1, 2023, and LifePath welcomed its first client in October 2023. Under her leadership, the agency has grown from the ground up into a provider of high-quality, person-centered services through its Individualized Supported Living (ISL) and Community Support Services programs.
At MMSL, Pamela admitted the organization’s first client in January 2023, expanding services to multiple programs including ISL, Community Support Services, and day habilitation. In September 2024, she launched MMSL’s first day program with extended hours, which quickly earned a reputation for successfully supporting individuals with behavioral and medical challenges—some of whom had been declined by other providers.

Pamela has successfully guided both LifePath and MMSL through state recertifications and independent Columbus Group audits. In May 2025, both agencies underwent comprehensive Columbus Group audits that resulted in no findings requiring corrective action.

Throughout her career, Pamela has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership development, mentoring numerous emerging professionals in the field. She brings extensive experience collaborating with funding agencies, medical providers, families, and guardians, and is known for a leadership style that blends strategic planning, deep compassion, and a steadfast commitment to quality care.
Prior to launching LifePath, Pamela spent 18 years at Woodhaven, where she held several leadership roles. She supervised mid-level managers, nurses, Team Support Leaders, and Direct Support Professionals; chaired the Health and Safety Committee; and served nearly a decade on the Admissions Committee. She also piloted Woodhaven’s Personal Assistance and Community Networking programs, successfully admitting and supporting 10 individuals within a year.

Pamela’s professional expertise is deeply enriched by her personal advocacy. As the mother of a daughter on the autism spectrum who exhibits challenging behaviors, she has worked closely with support teams to implement structured interventions that empower her daughter to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. This lived experience fuels her broader advocacy for quality services for individuals with complex needs.

In addition to her professional work, Pamela is active in community service and charitable initiatives. She served as Vice President of the Advisory Board at Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School from 2022 to 2024 and continued as a board member through 2025. She is also the President of Sisters Keepers Mid-MO, a nonprofit organization that supports African migrant women and their families.
Earlier in her career, Pamela spent a decade at Great Circle, where she supported at-risk youth in the Transitional Living Program, with a strong focus on behavior management and safety. From 2009 to 2015, she also founded and led East Africa in Focus, an international e-magazine that reached readers in more than 80 countries with contributions from a team of 25 editors and journalists.

Pamela holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Her unique blend of executive leadership, field expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and personal advocacy positions her as a transformative leader in the human services field.

Joshua Abbey

Degreed Professional Manager

For Josh, supporting individuals with disabilities isn’t just a job—it’s a mission shaped by both personal and professional experience. With over five years of management experience leading teams and overseeing operations, Josh understands what it takes to build strong, compassionate, and effective support systems.

But the heart of his work comes from something even more personal. Growing up, Josh played a vital role in caring for his grandmother, who had significant medical needs. From managing medications to coordinating hospital visits and advocating for her care, he experienced firsthand the challenges that come with ensuring a loved one’s well-being. That experience instilled in him a deep appreciation for the importance of dependable, person-centered support—something he now brings to his role at Lifepath of Mid-Missouri.
As a Degreed Professional Manager, Josh applies his leadership experience to oversee staff training, program development, and direct support services, ensuring every individual receives the care and independence they deserve. Whether mentoring his team or working hands-on with clients, his mission remains the same: to help people live their fullest lives, on their own terms.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about providing care—it’s about creating possibilities.
